A phenomenal analog horror game that I had a lot of fun with and can’t wait for the second part!

when the part 2?!

This is the scariest format of games for me! How to sleep after this?

Not what I expected at all, but very cool!
It definitely has a much better story than I expected. If you like this and similar short story horror games, check out my channel.

Unfortunately, the promising atmosphere is just ruined by way, way too many pauses. Everything feels like it takes about three times longer than it should. There's a few moments where some tension is raised, but it's almost always immediately stifled by some form of pause that's entirely divorced from the situation itself.

Decent effort for a first attempt, though. I suspect you'll be rather good if you keep trying. I'd suggest getting someone to play through your next attempt and judge how the tension holds up, since there's only a few changes that would be needed to make this rather good.

Edit: Oh, and to echo a few other folks, it would be best to find a theme for your game and stick with it. It kinda feels like you were trying to hit all the typical analog horror tropes, even when they didn't really match what you were presenting. In particular, the mandela catalog goofy faces and the 8-bit retro game segment felt completely out of nowhere, and definitely stifled any atmosphere that was building.

Although the game was good, I completely agree. As well as it being sort of hard to follow.

This one was wild! I was not expecting the ending to go that way. Great work, definitely creepy!

(my recording software apparently hated me that day so it's a lil' bit quiet, but I still had a blast, can't see what's next!)

The ending was WILD. eerie game and perfected the analog horror feel. The transitions were a little long but the game was great!

i love these analog horror games, but this one set me off edge more than i've ever been in my LIFE..

😊👍

The game was so unnerving! I really enjoyed chapter 1! The only suggestion would be that the games transitions are a bit slow when its in the Winchester archive waiting screen. I hope chapter 2 comes out soon!

The loading was kinda slow but overall it was a great game. I can tell it has a lot of effort put into it

A nice analog horror experience. At times it feels like its a bit too slow and padded but otherwise a fun time.

the atmosphere is super cool and the last part is creepy, but the game as a whole is kind of mind numbing. i spent such a long time mashing buttons trying to advance through the long inactive parts that i was just completely over it by the time anything cool actually happened. i swear those winchester archives screens took up like half of the game. maybe that's just my attention span tho

Really cool game and a great addition to the analog horror genre! 15:09 in the video for Home Invasion

Cool game!

Hello developers! Great game, but I wonder when the next chapter will be released? I hope to receive more shock and horror about this story!

in love with analogue horror so this is an automatic win in my book (though the blue screens between actual game are very long)

I really enjoyed this game. One of my favorite analog horror games so far!

Just finished playing it and I really enjoyed the music and sound effects used but I can agree that some parts were a bit slow, still can't wait for some updates.

Feedback at the end of the video, I will be honest too, it is a good game, just it took too long to go through different scenes/part, jump scares a bit too convenient. It took me 20 mins to record and cut down the game to at least a good 11 mins. A lot of dead areas really, but good to play and interesting story. Thank you for making this.

im gonna be honest this was kind of bad, the whole experience was lackluster and felt like a basic attempt at analogue horror and i dont wanna sit back and act like it was good just because it matched the aesthetic. It was very bland and very early on ifound myself wanting to just get it over with rather than enjoy it.

thanks for your honest opinion, I already know this game is already boring. but ill expand the storyline.

I find it a little... boring. Like it doesnt keep me interested atmosphere wise and therefore puts me off a little bit. I think the build up isnt that great. But Its still got potential to expand on if you want to. Sorry if this comment seems dumb I just wanted to share my thoughts.

nah, you're all good. Thanks for your honest opinion. This is only the beginning and of course I'll expand this story.

Wow this was really creepy and disturbing! I loved it! I can't wait for the next chapter! Awesome job with this! Here's my gameplay of it and if you enjoy then please consider subscribing to help me grow my little channel!

Game felt boring. Felt like your average Mandela Catalog horror but without any leadup to Jumpscares. and when they did exist, they were cheesy and predictable. Good idea, but work on the Jumpscares.

thanks for the feedback, this game is only the beginning so obviously its gonna be boring. But the next part is gonna be interesting. :)

Hey could you share the music you used in the game, sounds sooooo nice!

most music assets are from vcr classique.
vcr-classique - digital water, is from the loading screen.

Thank you!!!

tried to launch it but nothing is popping :(

how come it didn’t launch?
